Bonface Okute was born by peasant farmers spending his early days in the rural farm setting tending to crops and goats. He has experienced the difficulties facing smallholder farmers first hand. After secondary school, he joined Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology for a Course in Horticulture graduating in the year 2000.
Thereafter he has worked with various development organizations including Care International in Kenya, World Council of Credit Union and The African Agricultural Technology Foundation. He has over 15 years’ experience working with smallholder farmers in various Agribusiness Projects.
He founded Victoria Agribusiness as an Agrovet. He is a firm believer that Social businesses are the best solution to the various problems affecting smallholder farmers.
